Hello and Welcome to Philippine Ancestry.
It's me Nate from Philippine-American Ancestry. Here is my latest attempt at keeping the flame of Philippine ancestral search online going. My old Philippine-American ancestry site was offline months ago. I had changed service providers and no longer had access to the files for about a year before that.
In the interim I had been using a blog on another site temporarily. That is still online but I can no longer update that one either. It was only free for 30 days and I did not want to pay to keep it going. That was my initial attempt at blogging. Which my daughter's first got into years back.
I also registered a URL which I called isangdaangtaon.com which means a hundred years. It's the title to one of my songs. Never got around to getting it finished. I have been spending my time finishing my first CD under Pigboat Recording I called "Pag-ibig sa ama at sa INAngbayan na Sakdal awa". Meaning "Love for the father and the Motherland in dire need". It's been smooth sailing for a few months there but I got sick a couple of months back and have not been back in the studio ever since. My producer Joel Martin said "will be back in the studio this week".
While waiting to finish my CD. I went back to BKAT(Bremerton Kitsap Access TV) and provided them a copy of "Estelita" and "Bayan ay Tulungan". The first songs that got completed. They have been on their rotation since the 9th of October. Which was also the day I did my second ITV(Instant Television) for them. I got the copy last Monday. It was a lot better than my first one last year.
Thanks to BKAT I am getting some local following. In fact I was told that a lady called the station and ask who I was and where they could get more info. The station directed her to my MP3 and Soundclick music sites.
Till here for now. In the meantime if you find this and have a question on your Philippine Ancestry e-mail me at ramirezns@yahoo.com. Thanks.
